-Some years in South East Virginia zone 7b we can have rather warmer winters and can gather cold crops that have been kept under frost cloth or grown in a polytunnel very successfully. The recovery is very slow on these plants so be careful not to over-harvest, but in warm stretches, they can bounce back a little better and continue to provide nourishment over winter and into Spring. I honestly have not put my efforts into winter growing and will be making that a priority in 2024. It was a backburnered goal in 2023.
